The purpose of the TC Players Handicap System is to make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling golfers of differing abilities who wish to compete on an equitable basis. It also enables players to measure their golf ability and performance relative to others. This is the best method we’ve found to give people, who enjoy playing golf, the opportunity to compete fairly with any golfer, on any golf course. A player without an established Handicap Factor must use the maximum Handicap Factor of 36.4 for men, or 40.4 for women. The maximum number of strokes a player may take where their course handicap is 0 or plus is 1 over par, 1 through 18 is 2 over par, 19 through 32 is 3 over par and 33 and over is 4 over par.
