| The members of Newark Lodge #391 would like to thank all Elks from around the State of Ohio who participated in this year's Tournament. The weather could not have been better and the courses were in excellent condition, which provided a great weekend for golf. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves. | |||

Newark Elks Lodge #391 would like to thank all our Hole Sponsors and local companies who donated products and discounts for our silent auction and door prizes. The event would not have been as good without them!
The skins game was a great success with almost 90% of the golfers participating! Skins were determined by the lowest gross score on each hole without ties regardless of flight. There were 7 total skins won:

Congratulations to the Skins Winners!!!
Congratulations and a new Blu-Ray DVD goes to Don Barnhard , who put down his $5 and then out-shot his playing partners Bob Glorioso, Joe Glorioso, and Chad Craig from Lexington- Shelby Lodge 2554, (and all the rest of us who tried!) on #14 at Kyber Run with a close 39 inches from the cup! Nice shot Don!
Although there were no Aces carded at this year's outing, the lovely attendants of the "money" Hole #2 at Licking Springs were "Aces" at doing an outstanding job of convincing us who dared to part with five bucks for a try at doubling our money by hitting inside the "little white circle" around the pin ( set waayyy back). Suffice to say, not all who tried made it, but most all who tried donated their money to CP, for a score of $620.00!!! Thanks to all who gave a "shot" for CP!

If you had a good time attending this years event, then it is all attributed to the hard work of the 2009 State Golf Tournament Committee Chairman, and all of those on the Golf Committee, the Officers and Members of Newark Lodge #391, and the Club Manager and his staff, who all gave a tremendous amount of time and effort to make this a great event for all Elks who participated, as well as the Management and staff of Licking Springs and Kyber Run Golf Courses, who had their facilities in top shape for our Tournament, as well as the members of the Utica High School and Newark Catholic High School Golf Teams who provided Valet services at the courses.
A huge "Thank You" and "Job Well Done" is due to everyone!!!
